About Crispin Spaeth Coaching

Move more easily through your world

My mission is to help people connect the dots between the small decisions they make every day, all day long—to the vision they have for themselves and their community.

Through our work together, you’ll learn how to show up more fully, communicate confidently, and feel better in your body.

A whole-self approach

I offer private coaching, workplace trainings, and group classes that champion the beauty of our human design and its intrinsic relationship to confidence, connection, and freedom.

My work is deeply informed by Integrative Alexander Technique (IAT), an experiential learning process that allows you to access your natural coordination so that you can move, think, and communicate more effectively and in line with your true wishes.

Who it’s for

Clients range from entrepreneurs working on their first pitches to professional artists looking for new ways to push the boundaries of their own creativity.

Some people come looking to get unstuck. Others come looking for new ways to get their big ideas out into the world.

What clients and students have in common is the desire to expand their potential.

Where we’ll start

We start with an introduction to IAT, then put it into practice so that you can use it in your life. That’s the “integrative” part. You will be able to start to use this process right away.

In early sessions, we do experiments with everyday movements like walking or picking up an object. We use these simple activities to explore new ways to move and think, so that you can find options in more complex activities.

Whatever we explore together will yield information you can apply to other aspects of your life, both ordinary and extraordinary.

Crispin’s background

I’ve done a lot of cool things!

On the road to becoming a certified teacher of Integrative Alexander Technique, I had overlapping careers as a contemporary dance choreographer, creative and corporate event producer, and project manager for small technology firms. I’ve worked for rock stars and multi-national corporations. I’ve loaded live charges on a fireworks barge.

All of this work has made me a keen observer of people navigating high-stakes situations in which individual performance affects complex systems.

My approach to teaching IAT has tremendous power as a tool for personal and organizational development. It can help people work more efficiently and more creatively, all for the greater good.

Credentials

I trained in IAT through apprenticeship with Cathy Madden, who was taught by Marjorie Barstow, who was the first graduate of F.M. Alexander’s teacher training program.

I’m certified by the Integrative Alexander Technique Studio of Seattle, Alexander Technique International, and am a Registered Somatic Movement Educator via ISMETA. I studied Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy via Embody Lab.

I have a BA in Studio Art from Oberlin College.
