Private Coaching in Integrative Alexander Technique

Feel more at home in your body

Private Coaching in Integrative Alexander Technique helps you release habitual tension, move with greater ease, and bring calm, grounded presence to your work and daily life.

What changes with this work

Many people come to Integrative Alexander Technique because something feels slightly “off.” Perhaps posture feels effortful, breathing feels restricted, or stress shows up as tension in the neck, shoulders, or back.

Through private coaching, you begin to notice and gently interrupt these patterns. You nervous learn new ways of organizing movement, so alignment and coordination are more easy and natural.

You become more available to yourself

Clients often notice:
• healthy posture without holding or forcing
• breathing that feels more spacious and responsive
• movement that becomes smoother and more efficient
• greater calm and clarity under pressure
• a deeper sense of trust and ease in their body

“Crispin’s like a body whisperer with mechanic-level precision. She spotted patterns I’d never noticed and offered small adjustments that made my body feel instantly more at ease. Even how I hold my phone or look at my screen—different now, and way less strain.

Nothing fancy or performative—just down-to-earth tweaks that helped me sit, stand, walk, and move through my day with less tension and more awareness. They’re the kind of suggestions that pop into your head right when you need them—as you're doing the thing.”

This is for you when…

You want to be intentional in your life and are curious about deeper, lasting change—not another set of exercises or short-term fixes.

A good time to start is when you want to:

  • Recover from injury while learning how to move in ways that support long-term resilience

  • Feel more grounded and expressive in public speaking, leadership, or performance

  • Develop posture that feels relaxed and automatic, rather than something you have to hold in place

  • Improve breathing, coordination, and ease in everyday movement like walking, standing, and transitions

  • Shift the way you relate to your body, with more awareness, kindness, and trust

You choose the direction, and we’ll head there together.

“As a sales coach, I’m on video calls and presenting nearly every day. Working with Crispin and learning Integrative Alexander Technique has been a game changer. It taught me how to bring together mind and body in a way that allows me to move with purpose and confidence, aligning my presence with my goals. Building client rapport is always my top priority, and now I’m able to be even more present, engaged, and authentic with my clients. I reached out to Crispin after trying many different ways to address the persistent pain in my lower back. In sessions with her, I finally found relief, as well as learning more functional ways to sit, stand, sleep, play a musical instrument, carry things, and work out at the gym. Subtle changes = powerful changes!

Meet your coach

I help people connect the dots between the small decisions they make every day, their ongoing health and expression, and the vision they have for themselves and their community.

On my path to becoming a teacher of Integrative Alexander Technique, I had overlapping careers as a contemporary dance choreographer, creative and corporate event producer, and project manager. I’ve worked for rock stars and multinational corporations.  I’ve gotten up at the crack of dawn to load live charges on a fireworks barge. I can’t wait to work with you next!

FAQ

  • I’m not a performer or public speaker. Is this for me?
Yes! While this work was invented by an actor who wanted to stop losing his voice, it is not just for performers. It’s for anyone who who wants to feel better in their movement, think more clearly, and communicate more effectively. If you are a human vertebrate, this work can be useful for daily life or any other extraordinary thing you want to do.

  • How long will this take?

Change can happen very quickly, often in the first session. A series of 5 sessions scheduled within 2 months can go a long way to improving things. Then, if you want to continue, you can keep going; there’s always something new to explore. (Which is why Crispin has been a superfan of IAT for over 30 years.)

  • Will it be hard to learn?

Part of the beauty of this work is that it won’t burden you with a whole lot of homework or things to remember. This is a way to come home to yourself by letting go of what is unnecessary. Everything gets easier, and the goal is to make it useful for your life asap. This is not cookie-cutter; the process is totally customized to you and your goals.
