Alexander Technique for Humans, Monday Series @ Studio Current

Open up new options!

The Alexander Technique is a whole self learning process that can help you move, think, and communicate more freely, more precisely, more… really any flavor of more that you want more of.

Why for humans? While Alexander was an actor, and I discovered this as part of my choreographic life, AT is not just for performers.  AT is applicable all day to anything. Typing? Moving the laundry along? Talking in a meeting? Playing lego with your kid? Whatever you want to do, you can use Alexander Technique while you do it.

Group classes are a wonderful way to explore the fundamentals of AT and its ordinary and extraordinary uses.  While early lessons may focus on making physical activities easier or more comfortable, this learning process reveals the ways in which we have choice in how we respond to the world around us.

This 4 class series will move through fundamental concepts of the Alexander Technique, in direct application to your interests and life.  Group experiments will alternate with individual experiments to put AT into immediate practice. While this series is taught in an arts space, everyone is welcome and encouraged!
